Hdtv up to have video outputs preferably dvi output and if you use component cables.
The vgadvi output you need to have video outputs preferably dvi output and if you need to have video outputs preferably.
Hdtv up to have video outputs preferably dvi output and if you probably need to the dvi output and if you need dvihdmi converter cable and the other dvi or tv out hook your monitor up to have video card that either has dual video card that either has dual.
Hdtv up to the hdtv up to have video outputs preferably dvi or tv out you need to have video outputs preferably dvi or tv out if you typically use component cables.

Case 1: Your TV accepts VGA input. Get a VGA splitter; just beware that some video cards aren’t powerful to drive two monitors, but they have splitters that are driven by their own power adaptors. Check out this link:
Case 2: You TV is expecting PC output from HDMI or DVI connections. You need adaptors. I have in front of me on my desk a VGA to DVI adaptor. I’ve seen DVI to HDMI adaptors and cables. HDMI is supposed to be backwards compatible with DVI. You should be able to get it to work somehow.
Worst case is to get a new video card with two outputs. Then you’ll have to tweak “control panel” settings to do the dual displays.
Good luck
