Has this ever happened to you? You are in a hurry either at work or home and you need to login to your computer, find a document and then print it. You do not have any time to waste. So you try to open up the application and all of a sudden your computer freezes or comes to a stand still. You think to yourself, why now!

If that does not sound familiar you must be new to computing or have been very lucky! The problem may be a simple as your registry files are crudded up and they need to be repaired. But do not worry about calling a computer expert as there is software available to download that may be able to help you by scanning your computer to see if there are errors that need to be fixed.

The cause of these errors to your registry files are likely due to you adding and removing programs over time as well as other normal computing. Of course many times when trying to uninstall software the registry files do not get properly changed. Now it is possible that your computer is just too old and it can not handle all the software or applications you are running on it. You could try to upgrade it if that is the problem by buying more ram for your computer to see if that helps speed it up.

Another thing that could slow down your computer is if you have too many applications or programs trying to load when you start up your pc. If this is the case you can either use software to help you clean up Windows startup programs or you can do it manually.
